Our Team

Elisabeth Charmley is a Professional Engineer, naval architect and maritime industry leader with more than 22 years of experience spanning ship design, commercial, technical, operations, sustainability, and leadership.

Having worked with some of the world’s largest marine organizations, she brings a practical, systems-focused approach grounded in operational excellence, integrity, and long-term industry involvement.

Elisabeth is the co-founder of the Vancouver Maritime Centre for Climate, an industry-led organization focused on accelerating maritime decarbonization through collaboration, innovation, and industry engagement. From this work, she is widely recognized for her ability to connect stakeholders across industry, government, academia, and technology sectors to advance complex initiatives.

Today, Elisabeth continues to work in the maritime industry, providing support to maritime operators on-site or in the office- she is valued for her vast experience and depth of knowledge, bringing a deep love for the maritime industry that helps organizations move from planning to action.
