Our Team
Elisabeth Charmley is a Professional Engineer, naval architect and maritime industry leader with more than 22 years of experience spanning ship design, commercial operations, technical advisory, operations, sustainability, and strategic leadership.
Having worked with some of the world’s largest marine organizations, she brings a practical, systems-focused approach grounded in operational excellence, integrity, and long-term industry stewardship. Her experience spans the intersection of technical, operational, commercial, and policy considerations, providing her with a practical understanding of how maritime organizations make decisions and implement change.
Elisabeth is the founder of the Vancouver Maritime Centre for Climate, an industry-led organization focused on accelerating maritime decarbonization through collaboration, innovation, and industry engagement. She is widely recognized for her ability to connect stakeholders across industry, government, academia, and technology sectors to advance complex initiatives.
Today, Elisabeth advises organizations on maritime strategy, sustainability, operational improvement, regulatory readiness, stakeholder engagement, and emerging industry challenges. She is valued for combining deep industry knowledge with a pragmatic, implementation-focused approach that helps organizations move from strategy to action.
